Curriculum supplements nightly homework, providing our students with additional reading and writing practice and reinforcing lessons that they learn in the classroom.

  • Level 1: Grades K-1 (just starting to read)

  • Level 2: Grades 2-3 (reading basic sentences)

  • Level 3: Grades 4-5 (reading short books)

  • Level 4: Grades 6-7 (reading chapter books)

  • Level 5: Grades 8+

Reading Incentive Program

Whenever a child reads at home or at site, we encourage them to reflect on their reading by writing a short response in their journal. They record their progress in their "Reading Log," and when they reach 15 journal entries, they receive a small prize!

"Project Literacy helped me realize that I can get better and better as long as there is someone who really cares about helping me learn."
